"BEAUTY"

Beauty is a Treasure, it's a Pleasure to the sight,
Like the Stars in the Sky on a Warm Summer Night.

Like the Grace of a Dancer, or the Glow of a Smile;
The Sweet Sent of a Fragrance, Or the Innocence of a Child.

Beauty: it is rich, it is love, it is ease.
It's the Sound of that Special Someone's Voice; It's that feeling when you're pleased.

Beauty means Being Together, and Laughter, and Teasing.
It also means the sight of a flower, Or some part of Life, that one can find Appealing.

You can travel, and visit all over the World, in places like Africa, Asia, Europe, or Haiti;
And will never find, a treasure more Rich, with Beauty, than that, of a Lady.

"THE GODDESS"

She left a trail of Light behind, As she flowed on her journey, away, And memories that still linger, from visits, from then, Memories that hover for days. I can’t seem to remember, the name of this Lady, whose Presence impacted my soul, Except that it seems, to have had some reference, To something, like Diamonds or Gold. I have often doubted, if ever I saw her, Then convinced, it was all in my mind. Then shortly thereafter, her fragrance revisits, And returns me, to that place, and that time. © Ernest J. . . . . . A Mother's Day Tribute . . . . .

My Mother is Special, as most Mothers are.
But Her Special-ness, is hard to explain.
‘Tis Unique, though Universal – so Paradoxical,
I fail, trying to give it a name.

She’s always, been-there, for me,
As a Growing Child, and also, as a Full-Grown Man,
To help me in some way, to heal from a problem,
With an Unselfish, Motherly Hand.

Hey, But now I can name, the unnamed Special-ness.
The Answer, just fell from Above.
The Paradoxical, Unique, Universal quality,
Ain’t nothin’, but Old-Fashioned-Love.
